"Affordable
Series" Kel Kroydon
Banjos are
reproductions of the 1990's
collectable era bluegrass
banjos. Depending on the
model, available woods are
Mahogany, Tiger Maple, and
Walnut, and the hardware is
available in Nickel, Chrome or
hand engraved Gold plated. Our
choice of components includes
Gill Resonators and Rick
Kulesh proprietary tone rings.
Each banjo is hand assembled
and finished by Robin Smith.
These are affordable
instruments for the
professional player. The
Kel
KroydonŽ Wood E Banjo
is one of the lightest Maple
resonator style banjos on the
market today. Its Tiger Maple
Neck and Resonator are stained
a light brown color with a
Satin Lacquer finish. The
Style 11 Pearl inlays are set
in an Ebony Fretboard and
Peghead veneer using the Kel
Kroydon Centaur cut. The
Original
Style Kel KroydonŽ
Banjo is one of the
most sought after banjos of
the 1930s in today's Prewar
Banjo market. It features an
ornate screened designed
resonator, fingerboard and
peghead veneer with a painted
blue or black finish, with or
without a modern style
Standard Flathead Tone
Ring. The New Generation
Kel KroydonŽ Banjo
shares many of the original
style banjo features of the
1930s Kel Kroydon Banjo,
substituting ebony or rosewood
fingerboards with pearl inlays
and presentation woods with
stained lacquer to provide a
more traditional look and
feel.
